• Conceptual development of the entire field of competitive and top-class sport
• Organisation, supervision and further development of national and international university championships
• Organisation of the hosting of official university competition events in Bochum
• Implementation of the project "Partner university of top-class sport"
• Awarding top-class sport scholarships within the framework of the "Deutschlandstipendium"
• Acquiring sponsors and maintaining contact with sponsors
• Maintenance and editorial management of the university sports homepage
