The athletes were thrilled with the event’s excellent organization, even though the number of participants was somewhat lower than expected due to cancellations. The organizers received special praise for the high priority they placed on the athletes’ safety and respectful interaction among participants. These values shaped the atmosphere from the opening ceremony through the medal ceremony. The technical level of the competitions lived up to the event’s high standards and ensured exciting and fair contests.

Kim Rau, a student at Bochum University of Applied Sciences who won gold medals in four disciplines, rounded out the picture of Bochum’s highly successful students.
