Student Pia Greiten and alumna Leonie Menzel win bronze in Paris

After a thrilling race, the quadruple sculls rowing team finished deservedly in third place.

After 6 minutes and 20 seconds of intense perseverance and an impressive final spurt, RUB student and batswoman Pia Greiten and her team colleague, RUB alumna Leonie Menzel, received their well-deserved reward. We are extremely proud of their achievement and congratulate the entire team on this outstanding success.

Pia Greiten commented after the race: "It's important that we get support (from the universities), as we can't make a living from rowing alone." This encouragement means a lot to us and motivates us to give our top athletes the best possible support.
