The eventful and special year 2024 is coming to an end. To mark the occasion, we would like to recall the past university sports year with a small picture gallery.
Review of the year 2024 Competitive sport
Almost 200 athletes took part in university competitions this year. A total of 45 medals were won at national and international level.

Review of the year 2024 safety in sport
More safety for fitness enthusiasts and employees: Unifit achieves the second level of certification as a ‘Safe Fitness Centre’. The certificate was presented to the studio by the ‘Safety in Sport’ foundation in February.

Review of the year 2024 mental health
To promote the sustainability of mental and physical resources, university sports took part in the RUB's Sustainability Day on 14 November with short outdoor exercise sessions. Course formats such as hiking or forest bathing in the RUB Botanical Garden have found their way into the wide range of popular sports programmes with a view to strengthening mental health, among other things.

Review of the year 2024 DHM 3x3
In June, the University Sports hosted the German University Championships in 3x3 basketball. 19 teams from all over Germany created a great atmosphere on the newly opened Hausacker.

Review of the year 2024 City run
The university sports running courses are the perfect kick-off for many participants to run in regional and/or national marathon events for the first time or repeatedly. For example, university sports runners were able to celebrate personal best times at the Stadtwerkelauf 2024.

Review of the year 2024 olympic games
A total of 8 RUB students took part in this year's Olympic Games in Paris. In October, they were honoured for their sporting achievements by the mayor Thomas Eiskirch and rector Martin Paul in the town hall.

Review of the year 2024 Unifit
Spring cleaning in autumn - this was the motto for various investments in basic cleaning work and maintenance measures at Unifit over the last few months. This also included the installation of additional ring lights to ensure a friendly and motivating atmosphere even in the darker months of the year.

Review of the year 2024 Uniliga
The winter season of the University Sports League came to an end on Monday, 9 December 2024 in an exciting final match for the championship title. In both summer and winter 2024, the participating teams in the university's own football league provided plenty of action on the pitch.

With this review, university sports is saying goodbye before the Christmas break. From 23.12.2024 up to and including 01.01.2025, Unifit fitness studio operations will be suspended. We look forward to welcoming you there again from 02.01.2025. University sports classes will be suspended from 20.12.2024 to 06.01.2025. Tuesday, 07.01. is therefore the first day of classes in 2025.
