Inter-university victory at the adh-Open Lacrosse 2025
As a cross-university consortium of the universities of Bochum, Duisburg-Essen, Folkwang, Bremen and Wuppertal, the lacrosse team, organized by chairwoman Carina Jadjewski, won the tournament at the adh-Open 2025.
The tournament took place on July 12 and 13, 2025 on the sports grounds of the University of Bayreuth. Our syndicate beat seven other teams in the same category, including last year's runners-up WG Munich. Remarkably, the team from Bochum, Bremen, Duisburg-Essen and Wuppertal was not even considered an outsider with a chance of winning the title at the start.
For the first time, the team had the opportunity to compete in the low-impact category with male participants.
The tournament, which was open to the public, offered spectators an exciting and varied experience: several fields were played in parallel, making for a dynamic tournament program. The preliminary rounds took place on Saturday, while the finals and placement matches were played on Sunday.
