Olympics in Bochum?
Bochum Marketing invites you to a panel discussion at the Bochum City Archives (Wittener Straße 47) on December 4 at 5:30 p.m. Experts will discuss the possible bid by the Rhine-Ruhr region to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games from 2036 onwards, as well as the opportunities, challenges, and Bochum's role in this, under the title “Olympics in Bochum?” The panel will include Paralympic champion Lily Anggreny, TV Wattenscheid managing director Michael Huke, Bochum's mayor Jörg Lukat, and LSB competitive sports director Michael Scharf. Admission is free.
The event is part of the “Bochum bewegt” sports exhibition, which can be seen at the city archives until January 2026 and can be visited free of charge in advance.
