University sports helps top-class student athletes balance their athletic careers with their studies, provides information on funding opportunities, and serves as a point of contact for all questions related to elite sports. We also organize student participation in national and international university championships.

Elite Sports
University competitive sports
At university championships, students compete against peers and gain experience in a unique setting. Winners of national university championships qualify to participate in the European University Games (EUSA Games) or the European Championships (EUCs).
University Sports Bochum handles registration for university championships events for both individual athletes from RUB and team athletes from the Bochum Competitive Sports Association, which is composed of members of the university community from RUB and the University of Applied Sciences. All participants receive organizational and financial support.
